Hurst Creek Municipal Utility District (MUD) is seeking qualified candidates to fill a vacancy on its Board of Directors following the resignation of long-time member Jim Wingard. The appointed individual will serve from February 2026 through November 2028.
Hurst Creek MUD is a political subdivision of the State of Texas, created to provide water, sewer, and drainage facilities. The Board oversees the issuance of bonds, water, sanitary sewer, drainage, and sets the annual property tax rate to pay the debt service on bonds and to operate and maintain the District and its facilities.
To qualify for service, candidates must be at least 18 years of age, be a resident citizen of Texas and either own land subject to taxation in the District or be a qualified voter within the District. Please note that there are specific disqualifications and those may be found in Section 49.052 of the Texas Water Code.
